Ginger Honey-Glazed Salmon

Print Friendly

This is my go to marinade for salmon. It’s super quick, easy, and delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup tamari (soy sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 4-6 wild salmon fillets

Directions:

For the marinade:

  1. Mix the orange juice, soy sauce, ginger, honey, and sesame oil in a small saucepan and bring to a boil
  2. Reduce the heat slightly and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Put the marinade in a bowl and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the salmon:

  1. Place the salmon in a single layer in a shallow pan.
  2. Pour half the marinade on top and turn to coat all sides.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Cook salmon on the grill or roast in the oven.*
  5. Serve with remaining marinade spooned on top.

* To roast the salmon, preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Place the salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Roast for about 14 minutes.
